3 hours including toner and blow-dry or toner and cut and blow-dry extra time may be required for thickness and length or complexity of service.
Balayage is a hand painted look which can be either bold or subtle—it’s up to you! The benefit of balayage is that there’s no severe line of colour at the root, meaning regrowth appears more naturally as the colour is starting midshaft and becoming denser as it moves down the section of hair to the ends.
What Is Lived-In Blonde? Lived-in colour is neither balayage nor ombre and instead a subtle highlighting method that amplifies your natural colour. Similar shades are worked into your colour, avoiding the roots, so the hair looks grown-out yet polished.
Face framing – What are face framing? Face-framing highlights aka money piece hair is strategically placed around the hairline for an instant brightening and framing effect. This Technique can be used by itself or incorporated into any colour design to give a pop of colour around your face.
Highlights – what is highlighting/foils? Highlights and foils are the same thing. It is colour from roots to ends that we use foil to protect hair and develop each section, usually weaved sections allowing your natural colour to pop through, you can go lighter or darker or you can also use sliced sections (back to back or a combination of both) to give you the appearance of an all over colour. There are many choices with this technique as you can do 6 foils, t-section, half head to ¾ head, up to a full head of foils. This allows you to have more options for maintenance to keep your colour looking fresh.
Toning – what is toning and why should I be booking for one after having a lightening service? A hair toner is a semi-permanent colour that returns your hair to your desired tone. “Toner either deposits certain pigments onto the hair that cancel out tones you don’t want to see, think of using purple tinted shampoos to cancel out yellow tones or to emphasize tones you do want to see like adding golden champagne tones to blondes for complexity”
Beautiful blends –is an all over colour (permanent colour covering natures highlights, grey, semi/demi colour) creating beautiful shine, and balance of colour.
What is the importance of having a blow dry after my colour service? Having a blow dry after a colour service is so important, it’s at this stage you and your stylist get to see the end result. Colour always looks different when the hair is still damp (Colour also looks different under different lighting) salon lights to your bathroom lights to being out in the sun etc. The best light is always natural light.
When you are having any type of colour we suggest you ask your stylist to build you an affordable maintenance plan, this way you can pre book ahead.
